Sunday afternoon we will find out whether or not Novak Djokovic is set to win his seventh title at Wimbledon. His opponent in the final is Nick Kyrgios. The Australian smells blood, because his Serbian opponent is not in super form and has lost many sets on the hallowed grass of London. Kyrgios, on the other hand, has been playing at the top of his game for the past two weeks and is a serious contender for the final victory.
Where Djokovic needed a four-setter last Friday against Brit Cameron Norrie to qualify for the final at Wimbledon, Kyrgios had a day off. His opponent in the semi-finals, Rafael Nadal, was forced to withdraw because of a hefty abdominal injury. The resulting break for Kyrgios came at the exact right time, because the Greek was suffering from some shoulder issues in his matches in the eighth and quarterfinals. That ailment has been corrected and so the flamboyant Australian can go into the final with a freshly rested body.
The match on Sunday starts at 15.00h, CET and can be watched live on TV via Ziggo Sport, Eurosport and the BBC. Of course, the match can also be followed live with statistics on this website. The betting shops consider the probability of Djokovic winning the final very high judging by the odd of 1.25. We can't quite agree with that and therefore find it interesting to look at the odds assigned to Kygrios. A win by Kyrgios yields an odd of 4.00. If the Australian wins at least one set, that earns you 1.44 times your bet, and if he wins at least two, you will be rewarded with 2.50 times your bet.
