The Formula 1 season is nearing its end with only four Grand Prixs to go. After eighteen of twenty-two races completed, it is a good time to look back at how the season went within a team. Who is the MVP of each team? Who beat his teammate most often? What conclusions can we draw about both drivers?
This time we analyse Ferrari. At the beginning of the season, the team seemed to have to have all its affairs in order, and after the first few Grand Prixs, a win for one of its drivers was considered a good chance. Then Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz lost the thread and it became clear that second place was the highest that could be achieved. Leclerc seemed to have decided the competitive battle with Carlos Sainz in his favor with a 50-point lead (252 for Leclerc to 202 for Sainz), but is that really the case? Here are the results in qualifying as well as the races themselves of both Ferrari drivers:

Conclusion:
Looking at the tables, we cannot help but conclude that Leclerc is running a significantly better season than Sainz. In 80% of qualifications, the Monegasque was better than his Spanish teammate. In the races he beat his teammate a little less often, once they both even crashed out, in Azerbaijan.
Sainz has improved from the first half of the season. Leclerc won as many as eight in a row in qualifying and beat Sainz in the first five races. After that, the Spaniard won seven times, with two DNFs in between. He has lost the last four races to Leclerc, including the early exit in Japan.
